Happy New Year's Eve Shade of the Day, 31.12.07
I made this shade a few weeks ago. It has a vintage floral needlepoint on the front panel. The rest of the panels are an oatmeal european linen. The shade is a cut-corner rectangle bell. It is 9" high and the bottom is 11"x 8". It is $125. I used 3 different new trims on the top, bottom and edges. I have the shade on my work desk. I have the shade paired with an old alabaster lamp, great combo. The needlepoint shades are always fun to put together, a real collage of materials.
Last day of the year. Must say I am ready for a few days off. Hope you all have a fun night......not that I will make it to 12 pm, must be getting old. We are getting another snow storm tonight. I spent the night on the couch watching the snow fall last nite and pampering a crazy stray cat that I have kindly taken home. She seems to be in heat or???? I may be moving her to the shop.

This lampshade is fabulous!!! With the help of your tutorial in Country lIving and two shades in need of recovering, I think I just may go in search of needlework and make (attempt) one of these little beauties myself.
Thanks for sharing all the goodness that is you! Oh and HB!
Hi Dede, have fun! There's also a little how -to on my web site. You can always make up your own rules. I taught my self and probably do it a bit different than some of the other Lampshade Ladies. j.
