Decorative Hand-Crafted Lampshades
I have been a lampshade maker/ designer for almost 2 decades. I have a funky little design studio/shop in our rural village of Pawlet, Vermont. I usually look forward to heading 1 1/2 miles down to the village to my little shop. I use wonderful vintage fabrics, old embroideries, vintage chenille, vintage postcards, anything unusual! Everything I look at, I think, "maybe that would make a great shade." Decorative Lampshades can make a design statement, add great atmosphere and warmth to your room. At last lampshades have become an important design element!

I Enjoyed reading about you and your business in Country Living. I have been to Pawlet. I went about 6
years ago and had hoped to see your shop but you were closed:( I did however look thru the windows and loved it! I am a fabric, button and trim girl who likes to make purses and hopes soon to have her website up and going. I will be sure and stop by next time I go to Manchester Center to see my sister. I think I am due soon for a trip as she and Vermont always get me inspired to create. Patty
Hi Patti, hope you make it back to Pawlet. The shop is open everyday but Wed and Sunday; but feel free to give a call just to make sure. I leave my shop schedule on my answering machine.
I've got more fabrics and trims than ever! Lots of lampshade ideas.

Hi, I know that you have a workshop coming up soon and I just happened to check in on your blog and see if you have been posting... and you have! I missed your bits of inspriation and glad that your book is almost finished. I absolutely love the embroidered lampshades! I am a quilter and I am sure I have more than a few leftover blocks that would be great for a project!
