Judy's Etsy Site is Almost There

Thanks soooooooooo much to my son Duncan for helping me figure out my Etsy banner this am. Thank you, thank you. As well as the photo shop lesson! I have learned so much this year on my favorite laptop, but oh there is sooooo much more to learn. I get so frustrated, my neck get tighter and tighter and then I usually figure it out. Oh, us almost 50 somethings..... if we had only learned earlier all the computer tech. Also thanks to Matt Solon for painting this watercolor of me so many years ago. I remember complaining terribly as you arrived at my shop on my birthday so many Januaries ago.

My site is almost up, now I have to figure out what to put up and how to do it. Do I sell lamps and shades together or just shades....???? Lampshades are not an easy sell; there is always the size issue as well as how it fits onto the lamp issue. And the color issue and the fabric issue. Maybe I'll try a few of each to get started. I was thinking if I sold the whole thing, then many of those issues would not be a problem. Then, do I put up my favorite stuff or inexpensive stuff???
I'm going to put my best foot forward and put my favorites up. My motto is always if customers love it, see it is unique they'll buy it. Heck, where can you find interesting, beautiful lampshades. Not too many places. There are lots on Etsy, A pretty big variety of all shapes and sizes.

Kudos on the Etsy venture! I will look forward to seeing your beautiful lamps. I agree with you; put your favorites on it and the lamp/shade combos.. to avoid a variety of other problems. Good luck:)
Now... when the book gets published you will be all set!

Thanks so much for the words of confidence. We'll see when I it all together. It was a biggie just getting the banner up. But if all these others have figured it out.... guess I can too.

Hi Judy
Congrats on the new book! Can't wait to see it! Also, on etsy. I'll check it out later. A good friend of mine from Nashville is also selling her photography on etsy.
I've mentioned Lakes Lampshades in one of my recent blog posts, too!
Hope all is going well!
All the best,
Ceil
